Fall Troupe: FAQs

Where is the program located?
Camp will be held at Summit Park Church – 2818 NE Independence Ave, Lee's Summit, MO 64064.

When are the troupe hours?
Troupe meets from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

We'll start at 4:30, so plan to arrive a few minutes early so your student is ready to go. Please be ready to pick up your student at 7:30 p.m. in the lobby of Summit Park Church.

What will the students be doing? 
Students will be learning excerpts from popular musicals, blocking theatrical scenes, working on projecting to a room, becoming a unique character and more. Our fall program aims to increase students' confidence, establish valuable team work skills and provide opportunities for students to perform and present themselves in a variety of settings.

Will we get to see the students in action?
Yes! Bright Lights will host a public performance featuring our Fall Troupe on Friday, December 16 at Summit Park Church. Parents and friends are also welcome to come watch the Troupe at any fall community performances. Details of these opportunities will be sent out once plans have been finalized. 

What should students wear?
Students should wear comfortable clothing that allows them to easily jump, run, twist and move. Shoes should be closed-toe. (No flip flops please!)

Do you provide dinner or snacks?
We recommend that each student pack a snack or even a light dinner and a water bottle for our mid-point break.

What does it cost?
Cost for the fall session is $400. Students can choose to pay the full price or be billed in 4 monthly installments of $105. 

Will students be traveling off site?
We are planning on visiting a variety of community neighbors this fall. Any additional performances will be communicated well in advance of the date and arranged by Troupe staff.

What are the age ranges for students?
Troupe is available for students who are enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

What are camp class sizes?
Our student to instructor/counselor ratio goal is 1:15. We will have multiple instructors available to break the larger group into smaller groups for more personalized instruction. 

What supplies will my child need?
Bright Lights Institute will provide most supplies, such as scripts, CDs and a t-shirt. Any needed special items, costumes, props, etc. will be communicated in advance. Students should bring a snack and a water bottle.
